Jail

RE: The real social safety net. In light of the proposed 2012 budget, I find your exploration of the penal system timely. Given that the future of affordable healthcare and housing is becoming further and further out of reach for the vast majority of Americans and the probability of retiring workers outliving whatever nesteggs survived the recession, the “correctional” institutions have the capacity to fill in those needs in the manner that most poor citizens deserve-apparently. As usual, Arizona has stepped to the lead in this matter with the Governor deftly blending legislation and campaign financing concerns into a smooth running machine, bound to be the envy of all who survey and certain to be emulated. This is the future of governance, not just in our trendy, swanky state, but across this great land wherever the consolidation of wealth must be protected! I suddenly can’t tell if I’m joking… All the Best, TVA
